And breathe.
I didn’t plan a blog break right then – life just took over. First we had visitors for nearly two weeks, I thought that I could just continue on as normal but that was impossible. Work didn’t happen, blogging didn’t happen, and unfortunately neither did exercise. The good thing is that my food and diet did continue on as normal – I haven’t weighed myself but I would hope that there has been no change with my weight.
Then, would you believe it, I fell! I simply tripped up over my feet on a polished floor. Luckily it wasn’t down any stairs this time, and (more luck) I managed to land on my ‘good’ side. However it did take me a week to stop aching and to feel a bit more like myself. Then it took me another whole week to re-find my life balance… and now here we are.
Because of the visitors, I’ve been out and about more than usual – driven more than usual. I had to think of things to do beyond standard countryside activities because our visitors were elderly and couldn’t walk far at all. Even so, I tried to see if we could manage to fit a (very) short walk into each trip out, to make up for the lack of exercise. Mainly that was just walking around a museum or church, but it was good for me to plan something like that into our day, much better than just “going for a drive” and enjoying the view.
I’m thinking about whether our next car should be an automatic – I don’t really want it to be, but the extra driving caused me pain.
We went to a wedding yesterday – such a lovely day – the sun shone and the skies were blue, even though the mountains in the background were white.
I bought a new dress for the wedding. A size 14! I am going to need a whole new wardrobe soon, so I’m hoping that it won’t be too long before I reach size 12. I intended to just muddle along until I got to a size 12, by mainly buying a couple of pairs of trousers or jeans to fit each time I went down a size. However I’veĀ been throwing clothes away once they appear too too big and baggy, and I’ve thrown several things away that had become far too old and tatty. I now have very few clothes left and in a couple of months I’m definitely going to need new summer clothes. Whatever my size!
Instagram. I have started to explore Instagram, although I’m not sure what I’m doing with it (at all).
That’s all for today, I just wanted to blog something (anything) to get myself blogging again. I hope it won’t be a month before my next post!
